No fewer than 15 people were killed as terrorists opened fire on worshippers during Jumat prayer in Zamfara State on Friday.
According to a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert based in the Lake Chad area, Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred in Ruwan Jema town in Bukkuyum Local Government while the worshipers were observing prayers.
“The terrorists, who rode on motorcycles, invaded the mosque and opened fire on worshippers, leading to the death of 15 persons on the spot while many other victims sustained various degrees of injuries,” Makama wrote.
